Strength For The Weary

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.”

Galatians 6:9 NKJV

This year has been something different. It seems like every time you turn around, there’s another obstacle to face or something catastrophic is happening. It makes you wonder will things get better. But don’t let any of that stop you from doing good, or from living for God or from going to church and instead going to the world.

Maybe you’re at a place where you feel like you have done all the right things but you’re getting overlooked or nothing is changing. Don’t fall for the trick of the enemy to think you must be doing something wrong or living for God is not working or not worth it. Don’t give up on what God has told you to do or is telling you to do. Don’t think that you have to now do it for you because it seems like God is not doing it for you or going fast enough. Don’t give up loving that friend who might have just hurt you. Don’t stop doing what’s good.

The promises of God don’t stop just because we are facing a challenge. In fact, this is when we need to decide whether we believe God’s promises and if we do, declare His promises. Your faith will get more strengthened as you hear and keep hearing the word of God. As you are doing what you are supposed to do, and waiting on God in the promise, He will strengthen you too. When you are weak, that’s when you are strong because God will do the strengthening.

It’s here in the rough places and challenges where endurance and character gets built. Your trust in God can get stronger here if you put it in God. You can find peace here. It’s here where old things get shed off or dealt with, or even healed from, and new beginnings form and take shape. And you doing what’s good is one less person looking like the world and one more person looking like Jesus. Trust, God is working on your situation as you continue to believe and work what He says to do. And in due time, you will reap a harvest. Don’t quit.
